Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation Announces Songwriters in the Round on May 25th at Joe’s Bar

Chicago, Illinois, March 9, 2017 – Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation (the “Foundation”) announces the next installment of its Songwriters In The Round at Joe’s Bar in Chicago, Illinois. Attendees will enjoy a performance by longtime supporters of the Foundation and Grammy award-winning country music songwriters Kelley Lovelace, Chris DeStefano, and Ashley Gorley. All are welcome to join a festive night of barbecue, music, and dancing that includes the opportunity to bid on a variety of exciting silent and live auction items. Proceeds will benefit local charitable organizations that align with the Foundation’s directives of improving the quality of education, empowering underprivileged communities, and supporting cancer research.

This sixth Songwriters in the Round event will be partnering with Chicago-based beneficiaries Bernie’s Book Bank, By The Hand Club, and Communities in Schools.

Supporters of Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation have the opportunity to attend the evening by purchasing either General Admission or VIP tickets. Those interested in premium seating can purchase a table for the event at an additional price. VIP attendees enjoy an early meet and greet with the songwriters, as well as complimentary photos. The VIP meet and greet begins at 5:30, with doors opening for General Admission at 6:15 PM. The after party will be hosted by The Godfrey Hotel immediately following the show. SEATING IS LIMITED.

Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation Partners With NFL Players Association and Affiliated Charities

Northbrook, Illinois, March 2, 2017 – The Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation announced its partnership with the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) and affiliated charities at a reception Thursday evening. Over 75 people, including a dozen former NFL players and executives from the NFL Players Association, attended the event. Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation’s media partner, JWC Media, covered the event. Tom Serpento, the Executive Director of the of the organization’s Chicago Chapter, discussed the goals of the NFLPA, such as player wellness, as well as the organization’s primary focus to give back to the communities in which they serve.

The Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation plans to collaborate with The NFP Players Association, the Gale Sayers Family Foundation, and the Sanfilippo Family Foundation to actively support and improve the lives of children in under resourced communities. “We have always supported helping children in our local communities and finding ways in which we can improve their educational and social outcomes. We believe these organizations share our passion and commitment to achieve these goals,” said Daniel Bryant, President of The Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation.

Nashville, Tennessee, August 3, 2016 – Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation (the “Foundation”) announces the next installment of its Songwriters In The Round at the Standard Club in Nashville, Tennessee. This event comes five months after Songwriters In The Round: Chicago, where the award-winning trio again took part in fundraising festivities. The Chicago Songwriters raised more than $100,000 for Chicago-based beneficiaries Bernie’s Book Bank and Communities In Schools.

With Barrington Honor Ride & Run

Barrington, Illinois, August 4, 2016 — The Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation continues its generous support of local charitable organizations through a sponsorship and creation of the Sheridan Road Racing Team on behalf of the Barrington Honor Ride & Run which will be held Sunday, August 14, 2016.

The Barrington Honor Ride & Run is part of a national collaboration with Ride 2 Recovery, an organization that supports physical and psychological programs for injured veterans. Cyclists can choose between 20, 30, and 50 mile courses, while runners have the option of a 5K or a 10K. The event also caters to the entire family by including a 1 mile fun run and a kids’ 1 mile bike ride. Participants will enjoy a post-race festival complete with live music and food.

The Sheridan Road Racing Team, comprised of friends and family of the Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation, can be seen at the event sporting green and white Sheridan Road jerseys. Team members have expressed excitement for the coming race and the important work done by Honor Rides across the country. “We have long supported our veterans and believe that there are few things more important than helping those who have served our country to transition to civilian life on their own terms,” said Daniel Bryant, captain of the Sheridan Road Racing Team. The Foundation will also have a number of volunteers assisting with all facets of the race.
