Daniel Bryant is the former Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Sheridan Road Financial (“Sheridan Road”). Now a division of HUB International, Sheridan Road is a leading institutional investment consulting firm focused primarily on corporate and executive compensation retirement plans. The Company oversees approximately $15 billion in assets for 250 companies, representing more than 250,000 employees. Daniel is responsible for the business and strategic development of the firm, as well as, the management of the firm’s regional offices in Chicago, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Nashville, and Tampa. Prior to founding Sheridan Road, Daniel was a senior investment banker at a number of investment banks, including Robertson Stephens in San Francisco, Donaldson, Lufkin, & Jenrette in Chicago, and worked in corporate finance for Sam Zell’s The Equity Group. During his investment banking career, Daniel was named as one of the forty under forty most influential technology investment bankers in the country by Red Herring Magazine. Daniel graduated from Dartmouth College and Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Daniel is active in many civic, philanthropic, and business organizations including The Economic Club of Chicago, the Executive’s Club of Chicago, Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Association for Corporate Growth, and the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Daniel has been a long-time supporter of both The Art Institute and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and currently is on the Board of Governors of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Daniel is Chairman of the Inner Club 503 and on the New Member Commission for the Chicago Club. He is on the Board of A Better Chicago, a venture philanthropy fund focused on education issues, the Board of the Winter Club of Lake Forest as well as on the Board of the Frist Museum for the Visual Arts, in Nashville. Daniel also founded the Chicago Street Project, a predecessor to Chicago Cares, a national volunteer organization with offices throughout the country. Daniel is also active with his alma maters, serving as Dartmouth’s District Enrollment Director of Admissions for Chicago, Co-Chair of the Dartmouth Alumni Windy City Forum and on the Alumni Advisory Board for Northwestern University.
Arthur B. Laffer, Jr.
Chief Operating Officer, Portfolio Manager – Laffer Investments
Arthur has more than 30 years of investment experience, most recently as President and Lead Portfolio Manager of Laffer Investments, which he founded with his father, Dr. Arthur B. Laffer Sr. He has experience in various areas of the industry, including marketing, product development, sales, information technology, and macro-economic analysis.
Prior to starting Laffer Investments, Arthur worked at Nicholas-Applegate Capital Management, where he was responsible for product management, marketing, and key account service for more than $10 billion in separate account business. Prior to that, Arthur worked at Putnam Investments in several key management capacities, and Bradford and Marzec, where he was involved in fixed income trading, research, marketing, and information technology. He currently sits on the board of directors of Preverity, a privately held company providing medical malpractice risk analysis to insurers.
Marketing Coordinator, Secretary – Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation
Executive Assistant – Sheridan Road Financial, a division of HUB International
As the Marketing Director for the Sheridan Road Charitable Foundation, Betsy is responsible for the event management, livestream, and logistical production for all of the Foundation’s benefits. In addition to managing the Foundation website, Betsy coordinates all press releases and public relations for the Foundation and its interaction with the more than a dozen beneficiaries with whom the Foundation collaborates. Betsy also coordinates sponsorship relations and provides feedback and information regarding the activities to its donor base. Betsy is also the executive assistant to the Presidents of Retirement & Private Wealth at Sheridan Road Financial, a division of HUB International. In this role, Betsy interfaces with clients, strategic partners, and the Sheridan Road team. In addition to her coordination and documentation of details and logistics, she provides support services for business development and marketing. Betsy earned a B.S. in Sound Recording Technology with a minor in Electronics at DePaul University. In her free time, she works as a freelance audio engineer while also pursuing her love of musical performance through the Chicago theater community.
